How to get started

Once you’re well informed after studiously exploring our rich website, we are looking forward to meeting you. And here is how to make that happen:

Step 1: Watched?

Our explainer-videos are excellent introductions to Neurotherapy, Neurofeedback and QEEG.
If you haven’t already, take the time — five, seven and three minutes — to learn the basics! It’s worth it.

Step 2: Read?

In order to get off to a good start, it helps if you are well informed after reading the generously provided information on our website!

You still have general questions? Have a look at the Page “FAQ” (Frequently Asked Questions). That’s where you’ll find the FGA (Frequently Given Answers).

Step 3: Call

Now that you’re well prepared and keen to get started, call us to make an appointment for the Initial Consultation during business hours [Mon-Fri  10am-6:30pm].

If we’re busy, you may need to leave a message, so that we can call you back asap. Be brief, but pronounce your name and phone number C – L – E – A – R – L – Y.

It goes without saying that you do not call outside of our business hours [Mon-Fri  10am-6:30pm], because that would be rude.

You’ll find our phone number further down in an orange button.

Step 4: Questionnaires

Filling out questionnaires

Jessica will send you a bunch of questionnaires by email. Print them and fill them out before the consultation.

Then, you might want to put the filled-out questionnaires in your car, so that you won’t forget them.

Repeat after me three times: I will bring the filled out questionnaires with me to the appointment. And remember to bring the questionnaires too!

Step 5: Drive

On the day of your appointment, make your way in a timely fashion to 32 Lawley Crescent in Pacific Pines: If you’re coming via the M1 from the South, take Exit 66 Gaven/Smith Street. If you’re coming from the North, look at Google Maps or ask the lady in your phone!

And don’t forget the questionnaires!

Step 6: On Time — not Early!

For your appointment, please be on time (or a few minutes late), but DO NOT BE EARLY! We don’t have a waiting area with plastic chairs and old magazines.

Park your car on the street in front of our house! If you’re too early, stay in your car and play “Candy Crush” on your smartphone.

Step 7: Consultation

Congrats, you’ve reached the Initial Consultation. Did you bring the filled-out questionnaires? And $50 in cash? We don’t have credit card or eftpos facilities.

Be frank and honest about what your problems are. We will be frank and honest in return. Sugar-coating issues helps no one.

We do reserve the right not to proceed after the consultation. If we think that we’re not a good match, we won’t take you on, and we encourage you to do the same.

Step 8: Brain Assessment

In almost all cases, we’ll start with a 19-channel QEEG/LoRETA recording and a 21-site LENS map in the Assessment Session.

In preparation, we’ll ask you to shampoo your head in the morning and abstain from using any hair products to guarantee perfect signal quality.

After the recording, if time permits, we’ll show you an overview of the analysis and explain what it means. However, we don’t create written reports—to save you money.

Step 9: Neurotherapy

We’ll then see you for regular therapy sessions during which you’ll be training your Brain with our various Neurofeedback systems.

Depending on a multitude of factors, you may need 20-40 sessions for a satisfactory resolution of your symptoms, maybe more.

If required, we can check out whether any biochemical factors are slowing your Brain’s recovery and need extra attention.

Step 10: Results

With training and improved function, we usually see the symptoms lessen and disappear (This symptom graph is from a former client).

Neurotherapy is not a miracle cure and doesn’t create world peace. Yet, for the vast majority of our clients, it makes the world a better place.
